Commercial Restorations

With Commercial Restorations, we can undertake the groundworks as well as the restorative stonework that often comes with Conservation and Heritage sites.

Bringing historical buildings into the 21st Century

Restoration work is one of the most rewarding aspects of construction. To see out-of-use, often derelict buildings, be brought back to life is valuable and worthwhile. These projects often aim to maintain the historical aspects of a structure but enable the building to be functional for commercial uses.

Balancing Act

Careful consideration in restoration is vital to keep the history of the building at the crux, but to ensure a stable and safe environment for the team and future visitors.

Hidden surprises

Very often with historical projects, we will come across unexpected elements that have been buried underground, or in walls.

Stonework

Our skilled team has many years of experience with re-building and re-pointing stonework.

We respect the original work

We always do our best to use materials that fit in with the original property to ensure the restoration is as close to the original work as possible.

We have plenty of experience.

We have completed stonework projects at Hay Castle, Morfa Copperworks and more.

Excavations

Archaeologists are often on site whenever excavations are occurring, in case of historical findings underground. Excavations can be slow, but our team of competent machine drivers are able to dig as carefully and efficiently as possible.

Commercial Drainage

We have plenty of experience in drainage, foul or storm. We install hydrobrakes, attenuation tanks, swales and more, depending on the requirements of the project.

4m

Our deepest drainage to date.

A priority for older commercial buildings is ensuring appropriate drainage is present. In many projects, we are asked to install large attenuation tanks which are required to help with storm water removal.

What we can do

Commercial Restoration for Seer can include re-building and re-pointing stonework, storm and foul drainage, and hard landscaping, all of which has been carried out on recent projects.

Latest Commercial Restoration Projects

Check out some of our last projects that included groundworks.

Nant Llanerch

Nestled in the picturesque Welsh countryside, Nant Llanerch, a Grade II listed building, underwent a stunning transformation from an old farmhouse to a modern holiday let. Directed by Gareth and Andrew Rees, directors of the project, bespoke carpentry and innovative micro-topping techniques were employed to create contemporary spaces, including a custom kitchen and unique bunk beds, seamlessly blending tradition with modernity.

Duffryn School

This was our third project awarded by BAM Construction. This time, it was based in Duffryn, Newport. We completed the groundworks for this Secondary School including foundations, drainage, and hard landscaping. With an open secondary school just metres away, this site had to be closely monitored to ensure members of the public were kept safe.
