SEER Construction has been appointed by Powys County Council to deliver the Brecon Town Centre Improvements programme.

Phases 1–5
Phase 1 – St Marys Street (New Footpath)
- New footpath construction
- Temporary parking removal
- Work from both ends to speed progress
Phase 2 – New Road (Church to Monument)
- New road formation
- High Street access maintained
Phase 3 – Resurfacing (St Marys Street)
- Road closure (approx. 3–5 days)
- Traffic diverted via High Street
Phase 4 – High Street Connection
- Integration with new road layout
- Traffic diverted via Tredegar Street & Lion Street
- Estimated closure: 2–3 weeks (combined phases)
Phase 5 – Monument Area Works
- Pedestrian improvements
- Temporary traffic stops during key works
Phases 6–12
Phase 6 – Bus Stop Platform & Surfacing
- Road closure required
- Runs alongside other phases
Phase 7 – Lion Street Works
- New kerb and resurfacing
- Temporary closure with local access maintained
Phase 8 – Wider Area Works
- Minimal disruption
- Pedestrian access maintained
Phase 9 – Glamorgan Street Access Closure
- Temporary closure for drainage and resurfacing
Phase 10 – Paving Works
- Museum side and Dan y Gaer entrance
- Temporary road closure
Phase 11 – Bus Stop Closure
- Temporary closure
- Bulwark stop remains open
Phase 12 – Final Resurfacing
- Covers The Watton, High Street, and Lion Street
- Traffic lights used for flow management
